Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

While I'm not rushing out to get a copy of this one, it was certainly worth the rental. A story about naval warfare 200 years ago, and mildly about the naturalist issues of the day, it was wonderfully done, and quite enjoyable, without being terribly graphic. Which was nice, given ample opportunity and reason to have been much more graphic.

Russell Crowe was wonderful (as I expected; yeah, I like Crowe), and the film was really beautifully done, really putting you on the ship and letting you see and know what it easily could have been like on board. Well worth the watching.
