I took Son to see a local baseball game recently. He had gone to see a Reading Phillies game with his cousin a while back, and was keen to go to another, and I'd heard that Lancaster has a new team, so off we went.
The game itself was pretty awesome. We were down 4-2 in the 9th, bases loaded and 2 outs. The batter nailed the 2-2 pitch into right-center, and the guy on first just evaded the throw to home to win the game. The 6000+ fan crowd was out of their seats for quite a while cheering that one.
The stadium is brand new, and really nice as well. Of course, everything they sell is overpriced ($3 for a bottle of water, etc.), but it was a fun night out, and perhaps we'll go again before the end of the season.
(Hmmm, now didn't I say this wasn't going to become a sports blog?)
