Sneakers

After talking about this next one at work recently, and it being one that Mrs. Frank likes as well, and that I didn't remember all that well, we rented:

Sneakers

Another really good cast, this time with Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Dan Ackroyd, River Phoenix, Ben Kingsley and the insurance salesman from Groundhog Day. What a crew!

Redford is a good guy who makes a living by testing folks' security. He heads a tiger team (although the movie doesn't use that term), and the rest of the team is a very entertaining bunch. And they all get mixed up in circumstances surrounding a cryptographic codebreaking device. Of course, there are twists and turns along the way, all in the name of good moviemaking.

What's not to like? A couple of points of serious violence and some profanity.

Overall, it was a good movie, nice twists, not too sinister but still credible on the badguy front. I doubt it'll make it into the collection, let alone onto the favorite list, but it's still quite good for a rental. Two Frank thumbs up.
